Industrial Hemp

GoGreen Farms and Greenhouses, Inc. will partner with Global Hemp Goods, LLC to bring awareness to industrial hemp and all its benefits.

Hemp or Industrial hemp typically found in the northern hemisphere, is a variety of the Cannabis sativa plant species that lacks enough tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which means it decreases or eliminates its psychoactive effects. It is grown specifically for the industrial uses of its derived products

Why Hemp?

Hemp grows more vigorously than corn, but requires less water, pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizer, earning it a reputation as a sustainable crop. The plant has over 25,000 known uses and is potentially an eco-friendly alternative for other crops commonly produced on an industrial scale.

The voluminous quantities of biomass hemp produced are a potential raw material for livestock feed, biofuel production, paper and textiles. The seeds, and the oil produced from them, have many uses, both culinary and industrial. Its even possible to make alternative building materials from its stalks, such as hempcrete, which sequesters more carbon from the atmosphere than the carbon emissions require to produce it.

GoGreen & Hemp

GoGreen will coordinate with Global Hemp Goods in hosting workshops regarding hemp farming, making ( & building with) hempcrete, arts & crafts using hemp and cooking with hemp.

Hemp Bar

A salad and juice bar concept will be incorporated on site using hemp CBD, hemp oil, hemp seeds, and hemp protein in most recipes to raise awareness for the culinary benefits associated with the use of hemp as an Added-Value Crop.
